War and Human Desire
Dianne Irene ©2011

There is unrest in the world and people are dying and lives are being cut short for a desire. After thousands of years, we still war amongst each other to find a solution and to express that desire. When will humanity learn to be good to each other? What causes people to resort to violence?
Humanity has progressed substantially in technology over the last century. Our world has become a fast paced working machine. Resources are being gathered and used up at a faster rate than ever before. We are not living in balance of spirit, nature and technology. The population has increased and wealth has been gathered into a smaller part of the population and continues to flow in that direction. Parts of the world are facing population decline while others are exploding. Change is a daily event. Our weather and atmosphere is under attack and selfishness and greed has begun to cause some governments to go bankrupt and be subject to the powerful.
The Solution?

Whenever there are problems in any relationship we must look to the core of the human spirit. Greed, selfishness, hate, complacency, and a desire for power instead of empowerment, love, and kindness are always involved. No long drawn out story is needed. No conspiracy is needed. The reason is always related to those simple human conditions no matter what other details are present.
We need to recognize this. While up to this point our wars have been contained to a few countries, our technological advancements will allow us to war in a much greater way and over a much larger span. But why would we want to do this? Eventually, this warlike desire will lead to the destruction of our brothers and sisters. Not even the kind you were born with, but the ones on the other side of the planet that are part of your race- the human race. We all belong to each other and nothing we do is an island. We all have a trickle down effect on the entire human race.
There is no righteous reason to try to destroy another race, religion, group, or populous. Humanity is still very much like school children on a playground fighting over the basketball court. Our capacity for advancement spiritually has been abandoned to the advancment of technology and the greed for resources and power. Instead of recognizing that as a group we are only as great as our love and empowerment of others. The truth lies in that love and we will all see it from that perspective when we cross over into the next dimension. Many of us who have had that brush with death and returned can testify to this truth. Shame to those leaders who seek to treat their own people like cattle and hold all the resources for themselves. Shame to those who seek to create chaos to satisfy their fears and keep them from taking personal responsibility. Shame to those that sit idly by. Yes, shame is upon the human race. Only when we see the travisty of this will we want to change. We all play a part in this. None of us are without shame as other humans are killed.
While people have a right to seek freedom, protection, and prosperity, there is also a human right of life and an opportuntiy to live out our purpose. The answer is not a strategic military strike or a victory in a battlefield and these can only serve to defend a people and put off the still true fact that the problem lies in the spirit of the human race. We need to solve our problems by growing and maturing our spirits. Imagine hypothetically, races from other planets observing our behavior. It would look so unevolved to them. How can they destroy each other like this? We can not trust them. They are not ready. Better yet, imagine the creator of the universe seeing what 'his' creation is doing to its own kind. We must learn to see this world from an outside persepctive as we have gotten so narrowed by our technology and everyday lives.
While defending ourselves has become a neccessary behavior in cases, we still need to strive for a better solution. A solution that leads to the growth of the human spirit. We should be caring for each other the way we want to be treated. It is such a simple concept, but one that can save humanity from the ultimate destruction and a neglected human spirit.
